French surgeon Joel Le Scouarnec to face trial for allegedly abusing 299 child patients

French surgeon Joel Le Scouarnec is facing trial next week for allegedly sexually abusing nearly 300 children during his decades-long medical career, primarily in Brittany. Despite a previous conviction for possessing sexually abusive images of children, and warnings from colleagues, Le Scouarnec continued practicing until his retirement.
