Regina police seek public’s help after pedestrian hit Christmas Day

Regina police are seeking further information from the public after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the early hours of Dec. 25 in east-central Regina.
Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of 11th Avenue at approximately 2 a.m. on Wednesday after receiving information that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, police attended to an adult male who was injured. The victim was treated by EMS on scene before being transported to hospital “with injuries described as life-threatening,” according to the Regina Police Service (RPS).

Traffic collision investigators and the RPS Forensic Identification Unit were also called to the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved had remained on scene. Police say it has not yet been determined what, if any, charges may be laid as a result of the incident as the investigation is ongoing.
