Taylor Swift arrives with special guests for Chiefs’ first playoff game

The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Taylor Swift was spotted arriving to the game early, about two hours before kickoff, wearing all black and a patterned overcoat. She’s attending the game with her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift.

Travis Kelce seemed to confirm earlier this week that his girlfriend, Swift, will be at Arrowhead in person to cheer for him and his teammates.

Kelce appeared to share the news during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday, Jan. 13.

“Is there going to be an aura in that place, a little bit extra? You know what we’re talking about,” host Pat McAfee asked, seemingly referring to Swift, who has attended seven of the Chiefs’ eight home games this season.

“Oh, yeah, you know it, baby,” responded Kelce. “It’s playoff football, man.”

During the conversation, Kelce told McAfee that he and his teammates, who were 15-2 during the regular season, were eager to take the field against the Texans, who were 10-7 during the regular season and are coming off a playoff win against the Los Angeles Chargers.

“I’m fired up. I’m feeling 22 all over again,” Kelce said, referencing lyrics from Swift’s song “22.”

The Chiefs have won every game that Swift has attended this season — including a victory against the Texans on Dec. 21 —  which prompted McAfee to jokingly ask if the singer was “undefeated.”

“She rolls into that stadium, I just want to let you know what live betters do. They see her walk into that stadium and immediately open the phone, like, ‘Yup, Chiefs are about to win.’ That is just literally the feel,” McAfee told Kelce.

Which Chiefs games has Taylor Swift attended this season?

Before Jan. 18, Swift had attended seven of the Chiefs’ eight home games at Arrowhead Stadium this season, often showing up with one or both of her own parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, or Kelce’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce.

The “Lover” singer missed only the Chiefs’ home game on Dec. 8 because it coincided with the last date of her record-breaking “Eras Tour” in Vancouver, Canada.

Swift hasn’t attended any of the team’s away games this season.

The last Chiefs game Swift attended was on Dec. 21, when the Chiefs beat the Texans at Arrowhead.
